End User License Agreement (EULA)
Product: Qboqo Office Suite · Publisher: Dugong International Private Limited · EULA version: 1.0 — Jun 05, 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing, activating, or using the Software, you (“you”, “Licensee”) agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
2. Definitions
- Trial — a time-limited evaluation period (currently 30 days) granted on first use.
- License Key — the code (format
QBQO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) that activates the Software. - Subscription — a license valid for a fixed term (1, 2, or 3 years) per the key you purchased.
- Lifetime License — a perpetual license for the major version it was issued for.
- Activation — the online process that binds a License Key to one device.
- Device — a single physical computer, identified by a hardware fingerprint.
3. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of applicable fees, Dugong grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software:
- (a) Trial: for evaluation only, for the Trial period, after which editing features become unavailable until you activate a License Key.
- (b) Subscription: on one (1) Device for the term of your subscription. When the term ends, editing features become unavailable until renewed.
- (c) Lifetime: on one (1) Device, perpetually, for the licensed major version.
This is a license, not a sale, of the Software as a commercial product.
4. Activation, Device Binding & Transfer
- The Software activates online via api.qboqo.com. Activation binds your License Key to one Device.
- One key = one Device. A key already active on another Device will be refused.
- You may move your license to another Device by deactivating it on the first Device (Help ▸ Activate Qboqo… ▸ Deactivate), which frees the key for reuse.
- After activation the Software works offline; it re-validates periodically and may require occasional internet access to confirm the license remains valid.
5. Trial
The Trial is provided “as is” for evaluation. On expiry, the Software switches to a read-only mode (you can open, view, and print documents, but not edit or save) until a valid License Key is activated.
6. Restrictions
You shall not: (a) resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute License Keys or the commercial Software product except as expressly authorized in writing; (b) circumvent, disable, or tamper with the licensing/activation mechanism; (c) share a single-Device license across multiple Devices simultaneously; (d) remove or alter Dugong's trademarks or product branding from the product as distributed (this does not restrict your rights in the open-source components — see Section 8).
7. Ownership
Dugong (and its licensors) retain all rights, title, and interest in the Qboqo branding, the commercial product packaging, the licensing system, and any proprietary additions. The underlying open-source components remain owned by their respective authors under their respective licenses (Section 8).
8. Third-Party Components & Source Availability
The Software incorporates third-party open-source components used under their respective licenses. License texts and attribution notices are included with the Software installation. Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under those licenses with respect to those components. [details]The Software is built in part on open-source software including components licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0), Apache License 2.0, and others. This includes LibreOffice and related components. Full attribution is provided in the LICENSE and NOTICE files in the installation folder.
Source code availability: available at qboqo.com/source or by written request to support@qboqo.com, for at least three (3) years.
9. Updates & Support
Dugong may provide updates at its discretion. Support is provided via support@qboqo.com per the terms of your active subscription or as published on this site.
10. Privacy / Data
To deliver licensing, the Software transmits to api.qboqo.com: a non-reversible device fingerprint (hash of stable hardware identifiers), your License Key (at activation/validation), and basic request metadata. The Software does not collect or transmit the contents of your documents. See the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of Warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DUGONG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE. DUGONG'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE LICENSE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Term & Termination
This Agreement applies while you use the Software. It terminates automatically if you breach it or upon expiry of your subscription (subject to renewal). On termination you must stop using and uninstall the commercial Software. Sections 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Gurugram, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with the referenced policies, is the entire agreement between you and Dugong regarding the commercial Software and supersedes prior understandings.
