Getting started with Qboqo
Welcome! This short guide covers installing, using the trial, and activating your license.
1. Install
Download the installer from the Download page and double-click the .msi file. Follow the wizard — Qboqo installs to C:\Program Files\Qboqo and adds Start-menu shortcuts (Qboqo Writer, Calc, Impress and more).
2. Your free trial
When you first open a document, Qboqo starts a 30-day free trial with all features enabled. A small reminder shows how many days remain. You can use the trial fully — create, edit, and save documents.
3. Activate your license
- Open any Qboqo application.
- Go to Help ▸ Activate Qboqo…
- Enter your license key (format
QBQO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and click Activate. - You'll see “Activation successful — editing is now enabled.”
Activation needs an internet connection once. After that, Qboqo works offline.
4. Moving to another computer
A license activates one computer at a time. To move it: on the current PC open Help ▸ Activate Qboqo… ▸ Deactivate (move to another PC). The key is then free to activate on the new computer.
5. When a trial or subscription ends
Qboqo switches to read-only mode — you can still open, view and print your documents, but editing and saving are paused until you activate (or renew) a license. Your files are never locked away.
6. Working with Microsoft Office files
Qboqo opens and saves .docx, .xlsx and .pptx by default, so you can exchange files with Microsoft Office users seamlessly. You can also use the OpenDocument formats (.odt, .ods, .odp).
